"Only a Holy God"5/6/2022 Last week I had the honor of leading our church in a worship song that called us to stop and consider how great and awesome our God is and worship Him with appropriate reverence and awe. It is so easy to lose sight of how big, majestic, and wholly other God is. While God does desire intimate relationship with us and wants us to feel comfortable approaching Him with anything and everything, we must be careful not to minimize who He is and become so familiar with Him that He becomes ordinary.

"Glory, Honor, Power"9/8/2021 Worship is an integral part of who we are as created beings. We were made to worship. It’s woven into the fabric of our DNA. And we were created to worship our Creator. However, in the brokenness of sin we no longer automatically worship the One who gave us life and breath. Instead, we direct our worship towards other things and often forget God, the only One worthy of our praise. Therefore, today let’s focus our minds and hearts back to the One from whom are all things and in whom all things exist.
"You Are the Lord"6/16/2021 Worship can serve many functions in the life of the Christian; however, one of the main purposes it should accomplish is magnify and exalt God. Magnify means to make large, bring into focus, and showcase, and exalt involves lifting up above all else in priority and assigned value. Therefore, worship should stir our hearts and re-orientate our lives and thinking to make God larger and of greater priority in our lives. It should help bring who God is into greater focus, highlighting the details of His awesome nature and perfect holiness and helping us make Him supreme in our estimation of value and worth.
Worship Set #12 - "Great Things"3/4/2020 Spring is in the air. Here in my California home, we have daffodils blooming in all their splendor, birds joyfully chirping, and new life being born in the form of baby lambs and new greenery. It’s a season of celebration as winter is passing and new life is beginning. So in the spirit of celebration, let’s rejoice in what God has done in our lives, bringing new life from what was once dead and freedom to those once held captive.
Worship Set 6 - "Great Are You Lord"9/25/2019 As we close out this worship set focused on the power of God, I have one last song to share with you. It’s a simple song, but one packed with great truth and heartfelt praise and adoration to God. Originally written in 2013 by All Sons and Daughters, this song has been covered and sung by many.
Worship Set 6 - "Overcome"9/18/2019 God is able to do much more than all we ask or imagine. He is higher, stronger, and greater than all else. Yet despite His power and authority, His place of honor and superiority over all things, He chose to humble Himself and become like us—fragile and human. Why? So that He might overcome death.
Worship Set 6 - "God is Able"9/11/2019 Life gets tough at times. Situations can feel big and slightly insurmountable. Problems can arise and conflict can make life feel crazy. However, we need to remind ourselves that God is bigger than our problems. He’s bigger than our situations and is able to do above and beyond all we ask or imagine.
Worship Set 6 - "Our God"9/4/2019 God’s faithfulness is displayed in so many ways! He has been good and constant in our lives and there are so many ways we can celebrate and remember that fact. However, as we begin a new month and start a new worship set, we’re going to shift our focus to God’s power and greatness.
