Worship Set #13 - "He Lives"4/15/2020 I hope you all had a blessed Resurrection Sunday! As we continue to remember and celebrate the finished work of the cross, I have a newish song to share with you. “He Lives” by Church of the City was released in January of this year. It’s a powerful anthem celebrating the risen Lord. Therefore, it’s the perfect one to focus on post-Easter. Filled with great words and music, this song is one that we can sing throughout the year. But it is especially meaningful right now around Easter. It celebrates and worships Jesus who is alive. My favorite part of this song is the exalting chorus: “He lives All blessing and honor are His All glory and power Amen Jesus lives” Before COVID-19 swept the globe, this was originally on my Easter set list for my church. “He Lives” has an upbeat tempo, moving music, and covers the story of Easter in its lyrics. Therefore, as we move forward from this Easter season, let’s take a moment and worship Jesus who is alive. Let’s give Him all the glory and honor and praise due His name. Here’s “He Lives” by Church of the City. "He Lives" by Church of the City See the tomb where he laid See the stone rolled away He is risen, he is risen He’s alive See his hands, see his feet Touch his scars and believe He is risen, he is risen He’s alive He lives All honor and power Are His All glory forever Amen Jesus lives Hear the shackles breaking free Hear the song of the redeemed He is moving, he is moving He’s alive Take this freedom, take his love Can you feel it rising up He is here, he is here He’s alive He lives All honor and power Are His All glory forever Amen Jesus lives You took all our shame Left it in the grave we’re forgiven, we’re forgiven The work forever done, only by the blood It is finished, it is finished He lives All honor and power Are His All glory forever Amen Jesus lives
