Come and worship the Creator who alone is worthy of our praise

Worship Set 10 - "Jesus Paid it All"

I love it when timeless hymns are given new life and vigor.  Not that the original song was old-fashioned or out-dated, but sometimes a new bridge or chorus to a traditional hymn allows it to speak to a new generation in a fresh way.  I feel like this is true for the hymn “Jesus Paid it All” with Passion Music’s new bridge added to it.
Originally written in 1865, “Jesus Paid it All” has blessed and touched countless people.  It beautifully describes the sacrifice of Jesus in a personal way.
“Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow.”
This timeless song has always been moving and powerful, but the added bridge turns it into a declaration of praise.  Now it’s not just a prayer and declaration of faith to oneself, but it’s an anthem to declare to the nations.
“O praise the One who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead
O praise the One who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead.”
So as we take a week to reflect and celebrate Christ’s atoning sacrifice for us, I hope and pray this song speaks the message of the cross to you in a more intimate and personal way.  May you be awed again by Jesus’ willing sacrifice on your behalf and join me in praising the One who paid our debt and raised our lives up from the dead!  Here’s “Jesus Paid it All (O Praise the One)” by Elivina Hall, John Grape, and Passion Music.
"Jesus Paid it All
(O Praise the One)"

And I hear the savior say

Thy strength indeed is small
Child of weakness, watch and pray
Find in me thine all in all

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

Lord, now indeed I find
Thy power and thine alone
Can change the leper's spots
And melt the heart of stone

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

And when before the throne
I stand in Him complete
Jesus died my soul to save
My lips shall still repeat

Jesus paid it all
All to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow

O praise the one who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead
O praise the one who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead

O praise the one who paid my debt

And raised this life up from the dead
O praise the one who paid my debt
And raised this life up from the dead

Jesus paid it all
And all to Him I owe
Sin had left a crimson stain
He washed it white as snow
