Worship Set 1 - "Exalted Over All"

​We’re in the middle of Passion Week.  Palm Sunday has passed, and we looked at the empty praise Jesus’ followers gave Him that memorable day over two thousand years ago and the take-aways we can glean from that event.  Good Friday is before us and all that it represents, along with Jesus’ struggle in the garden of Gethsemane.  And beyond that is the glory of the Resurrection, the empty tomb, and the finished work.  So it’s appropriate that this week’s song for “Here I Am to Worship” should cover all these highlights from Passion Week.  

​“Exalted Over All,” written by worship leaders from Vertical Worship, is filled with so many good things.  It speaks about the cross, Christ’s sacrifice, His victory, and our genuine response.  This song is a magnification of who Christ is, what He’s done, and His eternal status—exalted over all.  It declares this truth and by singing it, we have the opportunity to make this true in our own lives:  to lift Christ up over everything else in life—over wealth, over fame, over ambition, over dreams, over all else. 
 
This is the heart and message of this song.  So I pray that “Exalted Over All” speaks powerfully to you this week as you celebrate and remember all that Jesus has done for you.
