Come and worship the Creator who alone is worthy of our praise

Here I Am to Worship

"He Shall Reign Forevermore"

We’re going to kick off this new series with my favorite Christmas worship song to date:  “He Shall Reign” by Chris Tomlin.
Often times, I believe that we are guilty of isolating the manger scene and forgetting the glory and splendor that Jesus Christ left on that world-changing day and the fact that He has now returned to His seat of honor and glory at the right hand of God.  But this song realigns our focus on Christ’s glory and splendor, and how far He humbled Himself to become our Savior.
For “Here within the manger lies
The One who made the starry skies
This baby born for sacrifice
Christ, our Messiah”
So in response what should we offer Him?  We were not present on that ordinary day when the Son of God appeared, so we cannot give the Newborn King gifts of gold or silver.  But like this powerful worship song expresses, we can offer Him our hearts.  So let’s give Jesus the gift of our hearts this Christmas as we figuratively draw near to the manger and gaze upon our beautiful Savior, the hope of the world.
He Shall Reign Forevermore
by Chris Tomlin

In the bleak midwinter
All creation groans
And for a world in darkness
Frozen like a stone
Light is breaking
In a stable for a throne

And He shall reign
Forevermore, forevermore
And He shall reign
Forevermore, forevermore
Unto us a child is born
The King of kings and Lord of lords
And He shall reign
Forevermore, forevermore

If I were a wise man
I would travel far
And if I were a shepherd
I would do my part
But, poor as I am
I will give to Him my heart

And He shall reign
Forevermore, forevermore
And He shall reign
Forevermore, forevermore
Unto us a child is born
The King of kings and Lord of lords
And He shall reign
Forevermore, forevermore

Here within a manger lies
The One who made the starry skies
This baby born for sacrifice
Christ the Messiah

Into our hopes, into our fears
The Savior of the world appears
The promise of eternal years
Christ the Messiah

And He shall reign
Forevermore, forevermore
And He shall reign
Forevermore, forevermore

He shall reign
Forevermore, forevermore
And He shall reign
Forevermore, forevermore
Unto us a child is born
The King of kings and Lord of lords
And He shall reign
Forevermore, forevermore

He shall reign
He shall reign
He shall reign
