The Fragility of Life8/6/2015 “For the LORD is NEAR to the broken hearted, and SAVES those crushed in spirit.” ~Psalm 34:18 Life is so fragile, and the world is utterly brutal; like a delicate flower exposed to the harsh elements. However, we have a tender, loving Gardner who knows the limit of each uniquely created flower, and He will not let it be exposed to more that it can handle. His desire is that every single creation He has intentionally placed in His garden would become beautiful, fruitful, and strong; secure in the knowledge that its faithful Creator will provide for all its needs and fully trusting through the painful moments that the Divine Pruner knows what He’s doing. This is the goal of the Omniscient Master: a heart fully cultivated by the work of the Holy Spirit and divining WORD.
So, dear friends, as we navigate the trials of life and feel as if our tender shoots are being crushed, rest assured that our All-Powerful Protector is watching carefully and making sure that we are not destroyed. And as we start aging and our soft petals lose their color and brilliance, let us remember that while we may be fading and life may be slipping further away, there is no greater joy than to be a rose firmly planted in the garden of the Lord, to have fully blossomed where planted, and to hear the Master say, “Well done, faithful flower, your glory and beauty has been enjoyed by others, and you have trustingly withstood all the storms and frosts sent your way. You shall now enter into your final, eternal dwelling with Me in paradise.” This is the promise for all uniquely designed flowers and plants placed in the Creator’s holy garden and who are faithful till the end.
