Today, as we close out the month of November and subsequently Orphan Awareness Month, I am excited to introduce the first guest post on So I Fix My Eyes… The author is a friend and sister in the Lord who, after walking the adoption journey with her family, took the time to write a special article for her new little brother from China. It is a moving piece, so ladies, I would advise you to have tissues handy—just in case.

Today is Orphan Sunday, a day in which churches across America join together in raising awareness of the plight of the orphan.
Happy first day of November! We have now entered the eleventh month of 2016, can you believe it?! When you think of November, what comes to mind? I immediately think of fall décor, the story of the Pilgrims, Thanksgiving, and a beautiful turkey dinner with all the trimmings. However, the month of November is about so much more than turkey.
