Merry Christmas12/25/2020 The long awaited day is here. Christmas morning. A special time of celebration, reflection, and love. Gifts are exchanged and joy shared. Family is appreciated and celebrated, and memories are made. However, in the midst of the wrapping paper, delicious food, fun games, and family jokes, let’s not forget whose birthday we’re celebrating. The lights, joy, festivities, and celebration were not present on that first Christmas morning. Rather, Jesus came quietly. There was no fanfare or welcoming committee to announce His birth. While angels did announce the good news to nearby shepherds, the rest of the world was oblivious that in the stillness the Savior of the world had arrived. Therefore, this Christmas, take some time to be quiet and still, remembering Jesus and all that Christmas represents. The greatest gift we could receive on this special day is a clearer picture and deeper understanding of what Christmas is all about. Therefore, give God the time and space to allow Him to lavish the greatest Gift of all upon you and show you in deeper, more personal ways how greatly He loves and cherishes you. Merry Christmas! “But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, ‘Abba! Father!’”
~Galatians 4:4-6 “And the angel said to them, ‘Fear not, for behold, I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.’” ~Luke 2:10-11
