Once Upon a Time...

​Every girl loves a good romance story.  We know it; the world knows it; everyone knows it.  Which is why there is an entire industry devoted to producing books, movies, music, and TV shows to fulfill this demand among female consumers.  However, before we can fully get into the message of Engaged to a Heavenly Bridegroom, we must first focus solely on the greatest romance story ever and throw out everything else—all the things the world has to tell us, whatever we’ve seen in others’ lives or read about on their personal blogs.  Everything. 

Unless we cut out the things that distract and dissatisfy us for the Lover of our soul, we will not be able to even remotely grasp the amazing love with which He has loved us nor the great lengths He went to make us His own.  Instead, we’ll constantly be discontent with our seasons of life, be distracted and jealous of others’ seemingly perfect lives, and will never truly know our eternal, heavenly Bridegroom—the One with whom we’ll spend eternity, and the One who is currently away, busy preparing a place for us.
 
Therefore, I challenge you to go through your room or house and either throw away or get rid of all things focused on earthly love, and afterwards spend long moments reading and meditating on God’s Word or as author Kyle Idleman called it in gods at war, “God’s love letter to us written in story form.”  This is the greatest romance story ever and the only one that truly has a "happily ever after"!
 
So let’s start living a purpose driven, joy filled, and eternally focused life as Christ’s Chosen Bride now!
