"Worthy"

​Once in a while, I like to highlight a song I would use for communion in a service.  These songs are special to me because they exalt Jesus, remind us of His great sacrifice, and fill our hearts with gratitude.  Therefore, today’s song feature will be one of these “communion” songs.

​“Worthy” by Elevation Worship has recently come to my attention as I broaden my worship music exposure.  From the moment I first heard this song, I was moved by the powerful lyrics and the profound way that it exalts Jesus.  It is simple, reflective, and prayerful, and is one of those songs that you don’t need to personally sing to experience the worship.  Rather, I’ve found it to be even more powerful to just let it wash over me and stir a prayer in my heart.
 
My favorite part is the basic, but moving chorus which genuinely declares:

“Worthy is Your name, Jesus
You deserve the praise
Worthy is Your name”
