Worship Set 3 - "This I Believe (The Creed)"

​June is here and with it a new worship set!  Do you remember the three steps to preparing our hearts for worship that we talked about a couple of months ago?  What was the first and second step?  Quieting our mind and heart and focusing on the Lord.  One of the best ways to do this is remembering what we believe.  

​The early church fathers recognized this and put together what is called the Apostle’s Creed, which is a concise declaration of our faith and what we believe.  It was designed to be easy to memorize and carry with one throughout life.  Jump forward over a thousand years and there was a movement among Christian song writers to put these powerful statements of faith to song.  How fitting!  For one of the best way to enter into true worship is by reminding ourselves and our fellow brothers and sisters the truths we believe. 
 
Therefore, for the month of June, the first worship song I give you is a creed, “This I Believe (The Creed)” by Hillsong Worship.  May the statement of faith laid out in this song, become your own and one you can hold onto and remember for the rest of your life.  Here is “This I Believe (The Creed)” by Hillsong.
