Come and worship the Creator who alone is worthy of our praise

Here I Am to Worship

Worship Set #11 - "At the Cross (Love Ran Red)"

Valentine’s Day is just around the corner!  Whether you celebrate this holiday or not, it’s a good time to remember and rejoice in God’s amazing love for us.  And today’s song feature helps us do just that.
“At the Cross (Love Ran Red)” by Chris Tomlin is a moving worship song reminding us of the power and completeness of God’s love.  It helps us remember the lengths to which God went to pursue us, and His willing sacrifice on the cross—all because of love.  I love the imagery of the phrase “love ran red.”  God’s love didn’t float around in heaven with red hearts, but it came to earth and made itself evident on a cross as the Savior of the world bled in our place.  That’s real love.

So what should our response be to such an infinite love?  Worship.  Surrender.  Which is why my favorite part of this song is the bridge that communicates our response to God’s love.
“Here my hope is found
Here on holy ground
Here I bow down
Here I bow down

Here arms open wide
Here You save my life
Here I bow down
Here I bow down”
I hope and pray that this song touches your heart and opens your eyes anew to the incredible and incomprehensible love that God has for you.  Happy Valentine’s Day!  Here’s “At the Cross (Love Ran Red)” by Chris Tomlin.
"At the Cross (Love Ran Red)"
by Chris Tomlin

There's a place where mercy reigns

And never dies
There's a place where streams of grace
Flow deep and wide
Where all the love I've ever found
Comes like a flood
Comes flowing down

At the cross, at the cross

I surrender my life
I'm in awe of You
I'm in awe of You

Where Your love ran red

And my sin washed white
I owe all to You
I owe all to You, Jesus

There's a place where sin and shame

Are powerless
Where my heart has peace with God
And forgiveness
Where all the love I've ever found
Comes like a flood
Comes flowing down

At the cross, at the cross

I surrender my life
I'm in awe of You
I'm in awe of You

Where Your love ran red

And my sin washed white
I owe all to You
I owe all to You

Here my hope is found

Here on holy ground
Here I bow down
Here I bow down

Here arms open wide

Here You save my life
Here I bow down
Here I bow

At the cross, at the cross

I surrender my life
I'm in awe of You
I'm in awe of You

Where Your love ran red

And my sin washed white
I owe all to You
I owe all to You
I owe all to You

I owe all to You, Jesus, Jesus

Your love ran red
Your love ran red
