Worship Set 10 - "Holy Ground"

​Happy New Year!  Welcome to 2020!  I’m so excited what God has in store for this year and this new decade!  We live during an exciting time when the stage is set for God to work in mighty ways.  And the amazing thing is that we can be a part of what God is going to do.  What an awesome God we serve!

​This month, I’m going to take a slightly different approach to our worship set in light of this milestone year and date.  So instead of opening with an upbeat, get you ready for worship song, we’re going to dive right into boldly enter the presence of God. 
 
Today’s song feature, “Holy Ground” is a powerful prayer that turns into a declaration.  It’s written for corporate worship.  All the pronouns are in plural, thus intended to be sung and prayed by a congregation.  However, don’t let that diminish the potential it can have in your own personal worship life. 
 
Focused on seeking God’s will and wanting God’s presence in all that we do, I feel that this is a fitting worship song to kick off 2020.  I want the chorus of this song to be the prayer of the Church for this new decade.  I want the declaration in the bridge to be true in my life and the lives of those around me who are touched by the light of Christ.  And I hope that this will be your heart’s desire and prayer too as we enter this new decade.
