Come and worship the Creator who alone is worthy of our praise

Here I Am to Worship

Worship Set 1 - "Unbroken Praise"

The next song in our Easter-focused worship set is called “Unbroken Praise” by Matt Redman.  This song touched me deeply several years ago and is still a favorite worship song.  I recently introduced it at my church and it has blessed several in our congregation, so I pray that it blesses you also!
This song is really about a life of worship.  Worship isn’t just about the songs we sing or words we say, but it’s a lifestyle.  And Matt Redman (anointed by the Holy Spirit) hits the nail on the head with this powerful declaration.  While our first song in this set was an anthem and declaration to the world about what we believe, “Unbroken Praise” is a prayer and exhortation to ourselves to live out what we believe.  It’s a dedication of our lives to be living sacrifices of worship to God.

My two favorite lines in this song are in the chorus—“so take this life, let it become your throne”—and the bridge—“Let my deeds outrun my words, and let my life outweigh my songs.”  May this be our prayer and commitment to the Lord who is worthy of our unbroken praise.
"Unbroken Praise"
by Matt Redman

Praise unbroken

Praise unending
Be Yours be Yours forevermore

Praise untainted

Praise unfading
Be Yours be Yours forevermore
Be Yours be Yours forevermore

Unbroken praise be Yours God forever
All my praise be Yours God forever
Lord take this life let it become Your throne
Unbroken praise be Yours

My surrender
My devotion
Be Yours be Yours forevermore
Be Yours be Yours forevermore

So let my deeds outrun my words
And let my life outweigh my songs

Unbroken praise be Yours
My unbroken praise be Yours
So let my deeds outrun my words
And let my life outweigh my songs
Unbroken praise be Yours
