Come and worship the Creator who alone is worthy of our praise

Here I Am to Worship

"Is He Worthy?"

Have you ever heard a worship song and gotten chills?  The power and beauty of the song almost immediately ushers in the presence of God and touches your heart.  If you haven’t had a moment like this, I pray that you experience one soon!  It’s amazing and profound.
Anyways, I had one of these moments a couple of weeks ago.  As a worshipper, I’m always listening to worship music.  So driving home from work, I was listening to the radio and this beautiful song came on that I’d never heard before.  It was majestic in lyric, beautiful in music, and gave me the chills with the overall grandeur and praise conveyed.  Unfortunately, it didn’t list the title and artist for that particular song, so I wasn’t able to learn what song it was that day.  But I found out a couple days later.

Since then, the chorus has been on repeat inside my head, and I find it very appropriate as we draw closer and closer to Passion Week and all that it represents.  So I pray that “Is He Worthy?” by Andrew Peterson touches your heart as profoundly as it has mine.  And that through this musical offering, your spirit would be stirred to join the heavenly choir in saying, “He is!  He is!”
Is He Worthy?
by Andrew Peterson

Do you feel the world is broken?

(We do)
Do you feel the shadows deepen?
(We do)
But do you know that all the dark won't stop the light from getting through?
(We do)
Do you wish that you could see it all made new?
(We do)
Is all creation groaning?
(It is)
Is a new creation coming?
(It is)
Is the glory of the Lord to be the light within our midst?
(It is)
Is it good that we remind ourselves of this?
(It is)
Is anyone worthy?
Is anyone whole?
Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll?
The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave
He is David's root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave
Is He worthy? Is He worthy?
Of all blessing and honor and glory
Is He worthy of this?
He is
Does the Father truly love us?
(He does)
Does the Spirit move among us?
(He does)
And does Jesus, our Messiah hold forever those He loves?
(He does)
Does our God intend to dwell again with us?
(He does)
Is anyone worthy?
Is anyone whole?
Is anyone able to break the seal and open the scroll?
The Lion of Judah who conquered the grave
He is David's root and the Lamb who died to ransom the slave
From every people and tribe
Every nation and tongue
He has made us a kingdom and priests to God
To reign with the Son
Is He worthy?Is He worthy?
Of all blessing and honor and glory
Is He worthy? Is He worthy?
Is He worthy of this?
He is!
Is He worthy? Is He worthy?
He is!
He is!

Oh, yes! This song has been one of my favorites since a friend first shared it with me several months ago and it still is so cool every time I hear it!

Praise the Lord! It is definitely an anointed song. :)
