Come and worship the Creator who alone is worthy of our praise

Here I Am to Worship

"I Am Not Alone"

Do you feel alone?

One of the biggest lies Satan tries to get us to believe is that we’re all alone in life.  Despair, depression, anxiety, and fear can come crashing into our lives if we believe this lie from the enemy, and he’d like nothing better than to ruin our day.  Therefore, he whispers this deception into our souls and impresses it on our minds and heart, and all too often we start to believe the lies he’s feeding us.
This is a rampant problem right now as we face isolation, hardship, and personal loss during this season of COVID, natural disaster, and living in a polarized society.  However, how can we fight falsehood?  With truth! Psalm 139 tells us that no matter where we go, we are never alone.  We can never hide or run away from God.  He is with us in the middle of the storm, with us in the pain, with us in the joy, and with us in the midst of the fire.  Therefore, today’s worship anthem is a song that declares this truth in a personal declaration of faith.

“I Am Not Alone” by Kari Jobe is a timely reminder for all of us as we navigate months of social distancing, isolation, and uncertainty.  We need to remember that God will go before us and He is always with us.  Then we can confront the lies of the enemy and reject the falsehood that seeks to tell us otherwise.

Therefore, I pray that you will sing this song over yourself as a reminder, a prayer, and a statement of faith, believing and trusting what God says:  that you are never alone.  No matter what voices inside your head are telling you, what friends might have said, how you feel, or what life looks like, this truth stands firm:  you are not alone!  So remind yourself of this glorious truth today and allow God to wash you in His love and faithful presence this week.  May you be renewed in spirit and refreshed from life’s heavy burdens, cares, and concerns.  Here’s “I Am Not Alone” by Kari Jobe
"I Am Not Alone"
by Kari Jobe

When I walk through deep waters

I know that You will be with me
When I'm standing in the fire
I will not be overcome
Through the valley of the shadow
I will not fear

I am not alone

I am not alone
You will go before me
You will never leave me

I am not alone

I am not alone
You will go before me
You will never leave me

In the midst of deep sorrow

I see Your light is breaking through
The dark of night will not overtake me
I am pressing into You
Lord, You fight my every battle
Oh, and I will not fear

I am not alone

I am not alone
You will go before me
You will never leave me

I am not alone

I am not alone
You will go before me
You will never leave me

You amaze me

Redeem me
You call me as Your own

You amaze me

Redeem me
You call me as Your own

You're my strength

You're my defender
You're my refuge in the storm
Through these trials
You've always been faithful
You bring healing to my soul

I am not alone

I am not alone
You will go before me
You will never leave me
