Come and worship the Creator who alone is worthy of our praise

Here I Am to Worship

"Ever Almighty"

In light of the past week and the events that have transpired, God has put a song on my heart that I feel compelled to share.  This whole year has been a unique one for our country.  We’ve experienced pressure from every side:  economic, social, racial, political, and spiritual.  So many things have felt like they’re spinning out of control.  However, our God is still in control and we need to remember that.
I firmly believe that God is using this season of trials and pressure to wake up His Church and call us out from lukewarm living into vibrant, abundant life.  But in order to achieve the fullness of life He wants for us, we must fully trust Him and acknowledge and walk in His sovereignty. Therefore, today’s song feature will help revive our faith and remind our souls of God’s awesome power and complete control.

While this song has been featured here before, the truths are timeless and the message highly appropriate for this season.  “Ever Almighty” by Passion Music reminds us that no matter how crazy life gets, God is faithful and keeps His promises.  He will never leave us nor forsake us and His purposes will be accomplished till the end of time.  Therefore, we must not forget to trust Him and praise Him for His power and greatness.

It’s hard to pick a favorite part of this song because all the lyrics are so powerful.  However, one part that always stirs my heart in a powerful way is the bridge.  It’s a declaration of truth and a prayer of faith.  We declare the truth of God’s sovereignty and, as we do so, it becomes a prayer of faith that our hearts may begin to believe.
“Fear doesn't get to sit on Your throne
No, You won't share Your glory
All the praise is Yours alone
You are worthy, worthy”
So if you’re feeling down, depressed, or at your wit’s end over the state of our nation and world during this unprecedented year, take some time to read, ponder, and pray through the powerful words of this song.  God wants to raise up a people who possess unshakeable faith and hope in Him.  No matter the situation, whether the world loses its collective mind or not, we have truth we can stand on and a God who ever Almighty and in control.  He is not surprised by the events of life or fearful of how things will turn out.  Rather, He sits enthroned above it all and sovereign through it all.  So take heart and be blessed and encouraged by this song.  Here’s “Ever Almighty” by Passion Music.

by Passion Music

Here we stand on this foundation

Hope as an anchor, faith as our flag
The cross as our courage Your Word as our way

Through wars and rumors of wars

Still You are sovereign, still You are Lord
Above the confusion Your covenant stands

For You have not, not for a moment

Abandoned Your promise to save
And You will not, not for a moment
With draw Your hand

Our God is ever almighty

Ever almighty to save
Our God is ever almighty
Ever almighty always

Here and now stone upon stone

The house You are building, a people Your own
Your kingdom unshaken, Your church is alive

Now as one with hearts all aflame

All our devotion is to Your great name
Exalted forever Lord Jesus You reign

We will not, not for a moment

Forget Your promise to save
We will not, not for a moment
With hold Your praise

Our God is ever almighty

Ever almighty to save
Our God is ever almighty
Ever almighty always

Fear doesn't get to sit on Your throne

No, You won't share Your glory
All the praise is Yours alone
You are worthy, worthy

Fear doesn't get to sit on Your throne

No, You won't share Your glory
All the praise is Yours alone
You are worthy, worthy

Our God is ever almighty

Ever almighty to save
Our God is ever almighty
Ever almighty always
