Worship Set #14 - "Yes I Will"5/20/2020 A new week and a new day to celebrate what God has done in our lives. While it may seem like everything in life has hit pause, God is working in us to shape and refine us. If anything, He’s doing more work in each of our hearts during this season because we have time to focus on Him. So don’t be afraid of the extra quiet. Don’t resent the refining moments as you share close proximity with those you’re sheltering in place with. Don’t tune out the still, small voice of God as He whispers truth and correction into your heart. Embrace it, and use this time to grow in the Lord.

Worship Set #13 - "Way Maker"4/1/2020 April 1st. April Fool’s Day. But today is no joke. Today is the beginning of the month leading to Easter. Today in the midst of the panic that has gripped our world, we’re going to forget the crazy, forget the stress, forget the unknowns, and choose to worship and remember all that this season represents for us as believers in the Risen Lord. So take a moment to find a quiet space and reflect on all that Jesus has done for you and what your response to that gift will be.
Worship Set #12 - "More to Come"3/25/2020 Right now it feels like our world is unraveling. Broad orders and changes to our everyday lives are taking place within 24 hour periods, and life seems to be on hold in many ways. But in the midst of the chaos, in the midst of the uncertainty and fear, we can know one thing is certain: God doesn’t change. His faithfulness remains and will continue in the midst of this storm. And if we walk with Him, we know that the best is yet to come.
Worship Set #12 - "See a Victory"3/18/2020 It’s amazing how God works! I picked the songs out for this month’s worship set at the end of February. Now, in light of all that is happening in our world, today’s song feature is especially appropriate. Fear and panic has gripped our country and the world as we face an unknown future, but God is still in control. Therefore, as believers, we know that no matter what the future holds, we’re going to see a victory. And that’s what today’s worship song is all about: reminding ourselves that God is sovereign and has already won the victory over sin, death, and fear.
I first heard today’s song feature on a live stream of the 2020 Passion Conference this past January. It was powerful to watch a stadium full of 65,000 young people declare with one voice that there is nothing that our God can’t do. May we have the faith to believe what we sing!
Worship Set 10 - "In Control"1/15/2020 Life can get crazy sometimes. As we look forward and focus on worshipping God at the beginning of this new decade, it seems that life has gotten crazier than normal. It seems that many people I know of or have brushed shoulders with over the past month have either lost a loved one, experienced a family emergency, had an accident, or are knee deep in medical challenges. Life can become overwhelming at times, but there is One who is constant and never changing. The God of yesterday, today, and tomorrow is reliable and totally in control. Today’s song feature celebrates and declares our faith in that truth.
Worship Set 6 - "Our God"9/4/2019 God’s faithfulness is displayed in so many ways! He has been good and constant in our lives and there are so many ways we can celebrate and remember that fact. However, as we begin a new month and start a new worship set, we’re going to shift our focus to God’s power and greatness.
Another classic hymn, the story behind “It is Well with My Soul” is one of triumph through tragedy. It is the testimony of one man’s unwavering faith in God despite the loss of almost everything. It is a reminder for us that no matter the hard we have to navigate, God is faithful and worthy of our praise.
June is here and with it a new worship set! Do you remember the three steps to preparing our hearts for worship that we talked about a couple of months ago? What was the first and second step? Quieting our mind and heart and focusing on the Lord. One of the best ways to do this is remembering what we believe.
