Come and worship the Creator who alone is worthy of our praise

Here I Am to Worship

"Breath You Gave"

I hope you all had a wonderful time celebrating the 4th of July! Though our nation seems to be spiraling into chaos and more restrictions, we still enjoy great freedom, and it is important for us to remember and celebrate them.  One of the many freedoms we enjoy here in the States is the ability to worship God without hindrance.  Many of our brothers and sisters around the world do not get to enjoy this luxury.  Therefore, we must capitalize on and fully utilize this privilege and not take it for granted.
To help us do this, I want to share a worship song that most of you have probably never heard.  It was written by Awaken Worship, and is a great reminder to use all that we’ve been given and the freedom we enjoy, both spiritually and physically, to worship God.  God has given us everything; therefore, we ought to turn around and use what He’s given us—life, breath, and our whole being—to pour out His praise.

My favorite part of this song is the chorus, which makes a powerful declaration:
"With the breath You gave
I will lift my soul
With the life You saved
Give You glory Lord
From this heart You healed
I will give You praise
With the breath You gave"
When times get hard, life gets crazy, and the heart gets heavy, it is important to worship, to lift up a sacrifice of praise.  Because no matter what is going on in our lives, we know this truth:  in God, we live and move and have our being, therefore, there is always a reason to sing and worship.  So I pray that this song will inspire you to use the breath God has given you to pour out your praise and lift up a song.  Here’s “Breath You Gave” by Awaken Worship.
"Breath You Gave"
by Awaken Worship

I was lost in my own shame
How my heart had turned to stone
When You called me from the grave
When You made me whole

Gave me peace I can't explain
Gave me back what Satan stole
Filled my lungs with endless praise
When You made me whole

With the breath You gave
I will lift my soul
With the life You saved
Give You glory Lord
From this heart You healed
I will give You praise
With the breath You gave

Let my days be marked by love
Let my worship make You known
Father take this beating heart
I surrender all surrender all

With the breath You gave
I will lift my soul
With the life You saved
Give You glory Lord
From this heart You healed
I will give You praise
With the breath You gave

I've seen Your mercy
Your loving kindness
Can't help but praise You
I won't stay silent

With the breath You gave
I will lift my soul
With the life You saved
Give You glory Lord
From this heart You healed
I will give You praise
